Half of the time is over, three weeks are left and we are getting closer to our final destination – the video with our solutions and advices for our client, the Stahili Foundation.
We are deep into the research now and we have already identified some promising approaches we will follow up on. Perfectly corresponding to this was the topic of the week: Idea networks, crowdsourcing and crowdfunding. Yes, that sounds a bit abstract, but it is easier than you think! Actually it is about different groups and how to use them for crowdsourcing and crowdfunding. To facilitate this process we first made clear what are these “groups” for us, how they work and how we can use them to reaching our goal. In the following graphic you can see, what emerged from our discussion:
Concerning our fundraising strategies we agreed that it is not only about fundraising itself but also about improving the online presence of the Stahili Foundation. At the moment, they are very hard to find on the internet so it is even harder to raise any funds. Therefore we agreed that we will also want to give some advice on how they can work on their online presence (work in progress). The second thing is the fundraising itself. We already got some good approaches which will follow up on. For example we want to advise to use GoogleAdGrants, apply for CharityShopping or participate in a Lotterij which supports charities. Next week we will compare the results concerning practicability and make a final decision.
Concerning volunteering we ascertained that there is still some information in detail missing. We determined that on the websites of other NGO’s it is always categorized and described for what volunteers they are looking. So, we gathered all open question and used the possibility of meeting a volunteer to interview her about all the issues.
Finally we will have the opportunity to meet the Stahili Foundation “personally” at their charity event on the 30th of September 2015 in The Hague – can’t wait to share all our new insights with you!
